in Laos NME have a tenement known as 'area 81'. this was acquired through our Thai board member and his connections. (if memory serves correct)

area 81 was a much sort after lease amongst big players like ozl and pna. it is a copper-rich lease with gold secondary. apparently so much so that copper is visible from surface.

This was a big story for nme prior to GFC and copper price collapse. i believe they switched to gold projects after those events to provide more value. but copper prices now right up near all time highs, so maybe they're looking to offload the lease at a premium or firm up investment / exploration interest??

i would suggest that the sellers of late (even batches of 50k, 100k) are IPO investors who have finally waited long enough. After seeing many small caps double, triple etc over last few months whilst nme remains stagnant they have given up hope. the perceived opportunity cost of holding nme to-date has been extremely high, especially if you do not have a well-diversified portfolio.
