Sorry that I can't post all of this file for you, but I found a test of 16 RE metals conducted over a period of 4 years.

After 3 days - yes 3 days, Pr started to oxidise and change colour visibly.
After 32 days the same occurs for Nd.

After 191 days both are showing powdery oxide colour

After 19 months both are almost gone

After 4 years only 8 of the tested metals are left and in a shiny state.

Note:

1. This applies to the metals, not the alloy. The alloy may behave differently. In fact RE metals can be used in conjunction with other materials to lower corrosion of other metals.
2. The samples were small. A larger ingot would last considerably longer but would still show the initial signs in the same time.
3. Storage of these metals may not be an ingot in the air. i.e. they may be covered by a liquid (hydrocarbon perhaps) or in a container with an inert gas such as N.
4. Once processed into magnets I understand that they are nickel plated. Not real sure about this but it makes sense.
