I'm sure they'll eventually make a play for lithium miner.
But people tend to forget that EV revolution isn't just lithium. Nickel and other metals are huge part of battery and major miners play big part in supply chain already. Rio also has couple of undeveloped lithium deposits already.
Re your holdings:
If you truly bought with LT view then your focus should be LT return on investment. And main part of that equation should be dividends, company profits and growth opportunities that come with profits.
It really makes no difference if PLS SP is $5 or $1 next year to profits, dividend return and growth potential over LT.
If you bought with view of making some $ on SP rising then selling for profit: you need to work on your entry and exit strategies.
