The ev exemption applies also to plug in hybrid vehicles until April 2025. These are more expensive than equivalent IC vehicle before tax emption but in fact studies of behaviour of employees with phev vehicles overseas suggests that many operate them just as an IC vehicle with the employer fuel card as they do not want to pay for home charging or cannot be bothered with it.
So not much benefit for the tax exemption there.
