I am trying to feel good about Australia achieving a smaller carbon footprint.
But I am having difficulty resisting the temptation of my older generation to think things through. Perhaps I need to read less and concentrate on Tweets from Influencers.
So we have closed oil refineries in Australia and reduced our footprint by importing fuel instead. We have closed steel mills and import steel instead. We closed chemical factories and import chemicals instead. Brilliant!
Of course alarmists will say those industries would have closed anyway because they needed.updating. What company would update a factory in Australia with Greens holding the balance of power.
Next we need to close down mining and agriculture.
