Yeah, quite possible.
Especially since it's holiday season.
Hard to see shorts pushing their luck much further down without some significant macro/fundamental trigger.
Personally, I'd prefer some shorts scramble to cover (good for trading) but you're right: fundamentally PLS is in great position for foreseeable future.
