ADDITIONAL FINANCING OFFERS RECEIVED
Continental Coal Limited (Continental or the Company) is pleased to advise that further to the announcement on 30 March 2010, the Board of Continental has been working towards finalisation of the funding and off-take proposals previously received for its 122MT Vlakplaats export thermal coal mine in South Africa.
In the past 48 hours the Company has received 2 further indicative funding and off-take offers which the Board believes to be superior to those already received. As such, and in the interests of determining the best possible outcome for its shareholders, the Company has agreed to a request by these parties to extend the Boards final funding decision whilst finalised formal offers are concluded over the coming days.
The Company will update the market (and request a resumption of trading of its securities) once it has finalised its off-take and associated funding package for Vlakplaats next week.
