"Would love to see this nation become a republic, get a new flag that is more relevant and symbolic of our new republic and more respectful of our indigenous people, and reflective of our modern Australia, old fella."
Not sure how you incorporate the Aboriginal and Lebanese and Indian and Sri Lankan and Korean and Chinese and New Guinean and Islander and British (did you forget this one ?) etal into a new flag, methinks the thrust of the argument is to rewrite Oz. history with the aim of denigrating our heritage. One based on hardship by the then enemies of England - the Irish in particular and the poorer and subsequent perceived criminal class of the Scottish and Welsh and indeed the English poor as well.
No dust - there are a lot of us who know our heritage and respect it and we will not allow the latest wave of the looney left to retrospectively alter what is our national memory.
If your bored with our flag why don't you push for maybe a day of flying the "Ford" or "Holden" flags for a day or two each year - and then when that becomes mundane why not try the yellow sun with the sad dessert background - that one represents the only people in this country who have done nothing in the last 200 years to improve it.
