To me, Gina getting control of WGO before moving on STX just does not make sense. As we have seen Gina trying to take over WGO has just pushed up the price of STX. If, once getting control of WGO, she moves on STX she will just push the price up some more - folks have now a much better idea of how undervalued STX was. My view is that she would have done much better to move on STX first and then isolate WGO by doing what STX is proposing i.e. diverting STX's share of their WE gas down through the Precint. I just don't believe that you become the richest person in Australia by being stupid. The logical conclusion to this thinking is that Gina doesn't want STX - just a large share of WGO. Of course, this does not mean that no one else will make a play for STX.
