There used to be ( may still be ) a Catholic monastic order , can't remember the name,that demanded that all monks would perform their duties with the constant awareness of death sitting on the right shoulder , ALWAYS,....
found in other religions also.
i.e. LIVE FULLY , LIVE IN THE PRESENT , DON'T WASTE A SECOND, NOBODY KNOWS WHEN THEIR TIME ENDS.
This awareness produces sublime results in daily life.
