Great to hear Scott. You changed your life consistent with more information, evidence and data. Nice work.

such a pity the Heroes of the Modern World, ie antivaxx rabble, don't take a leaf out of your book.

but of course that would mean junking the conspiracy theories that they cling so tenaciously to and that gives them the apparent certainty their egos crave. There's no doubt they believe they have the certainty their arrogance demands if the cacophony they impose on HC threads is any indication.

The Dunning-Kruger National Park mostly in text form. The sourcing or attribution mostly runs as far as Because They Said So. That's what doomscrolling their echo chambers on FB does, or catching the odd word or phrase on yet another sacred video on YouTube.

Yep, Heroes of the Modern World.

YET and BUT one could be forgiven for thinking that they're winning the debate. On social media at least.

using every trick in the book, from cherry picking data to use of false experts to straight out lies, etcetera, etc.

the LA TIMES certainly nailed how this comes about in an article on Oct. 4. here's the relevant paragraph.

"It turns out a multitude of factors contributed to the triumph of bad COVID information over good. Key among them was the fact that anti-science forces didn't hesitate to share their opinions online, while those guided by evidence sat on the sidelines. By the time the latter group joined the fray, it was too late to make much difference. "

no wonder the world's experts don't want to engage with the antivaxx rabble, who rabbit on ceaselessly, making noise.

the experts have work to do, antivaxxers have noise to make.
