Agree with that suggestion, Cranium. Whilst I'm no expert in the field either and recognise that style and functionality of a website is very personal, there are some basic aspects that require changes and, if implemented, will likely have universal appeal. Short of sitting down with the web designer for an hour (which would be inconceivable), I'll spend two hours tomorrow outlining a critique with constructive suggestions and send them through directly to the company.
