The important (& potentially seminal, re alleviating Chinese trade war- now easing?- & bullying against Australia) India-Australia FTA becomes operative on 29.12.22.
All Indian tariffs on Aust. LNG are removed from 29.12.22 (Also virtually all Indian tariffs on Aust. coal). Livemint.com said 28.12 that the FTA "will save Australian exporters around [US] $2b a year in tariffs" ie imposed by India formerly, on all the various Aust. imports, inc. LNG.
Economic Times/India Times 29.12.22 said trade between Australia & India is expected to grow to US $70b in the next 5 years. In FY 2022, Australia exported only US $16 b to India, of which 75% was our coal exports (Next major export was LNG); & India exported US $8b to Aust.

This increase in our bilateral trade (US $24b- $$7 b in only 5 years) is huge- & will, eventually, benefit STO
