I suggest that a very significant reason for John Lamb being active on LinkedIn since moving to Avebury, is because MYL have been and still are in an active recruitment phase in a market where shortages of experienced mining personnel is the norm . They have not chosen to go down the mining services contractor or agency path and are employing and managing personnel directly. I think they have made the right choice and it looks like they have made a significant number of local hires', boding well for future stability. Personnel shortages are an achilles heel for Australian mines and it makes a lot of sense for MYL to be strongly focussed on recruiting and keeping a competent experienced stable workforce.
