That sounds like a painful ride. I think with oil stocks often it takes years to land on that one transformational discovery. It may takes years, it may never come. Woodside and cvn are two companies that success come after many years. I also think with oil companies you need to be prepared to take profits when you think they are overvalued and reinvest when they are undervalued as they tend to get overpriced and underpriced a fair bit.
