Vala, interesting that you should raise where a company is based, you might recall a company called Felix, that traded at around 6c when I first bought shares, they later did a cap' consolidation. They were taken over for about $3.5 billion, it was a small company into coal and was bought out by the Chinese, Felix ( code was FLX), was based around a guy who lived at Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. They sold at about $17 a share and a $1 special dividend and some sort of retention of new assets in South Aus. So yes, choice of location and quality of life can go hand in hand with some major success stories.
