    Hey Dan, good to see someone else with some decent contributions on the thread.

    I posted a fair bit on this back in Dec 21 and Jan 22.

    There’s quite a few places which are successfully using ore sorting. Have a read of some of these (hopefully the links work)

    There’s a bunch of other stuff online. My work deals in bulk materials and I’ve spoken to a few processing engineers in the last. The reason for slow uptake is generally the consultants are happy/comfortable with what they know. The major driving factor with ore sorting though is the material composition. Some of it is just completely incompatible with the sorting machines, depending on the technology they’re utilising.

    Newcrest uses ore sorting for reprocessing the scat material from their mines. Don’t have time to check if it’s still being utilised, but some of the bigger players were starting to use the technology.
