At the current policy of 50% payout ratio including BB, in theory the BB will consume most of the available 50% funds for the next 10 months.
As small retail investor, I still can’t get my head around how it is a benefit for long term Mum and Dad investors…I can see how it might be advantageous to traders and the T20.
It similar to when the sharemarket crashes and the advise is not to sell, as it is only a paper lose!
My opinion is that BB acts in the reverse where it amounts to possibly a paper gain without any guarantees.
So BOD are catering for the traders and institutions who are more likely to trade than the majority of individuals holders in a company.
A fairer system should be 2/3rd dividends and rest as BB.
