Yes there are many ways to look at charts ..most important though is to first declare the time frame of which a person is presenting it ..this avoids a lot of confusion...2ndly to qualify as an "up trend" in that time frame there must be a higher low and a higher high, this is the very 1st confirmation of an "up trend"..anything less that this in the period being presented is prediction and wishful thinking.
