MYR hasn't yet published its HY reporting date, but going by last year it may well be Thursday 9 March 2023. This will include details of any dividend agreed to by the Directors.
As 'The Australian' implied, if the trading picture has 'materially' worsened since previous public advice, there'd be an update issued before the end of January 2023.
Anything's possible but with some articles suggesting retail spending is continuing to be OK (including in department stores), SH could surmise that a downbeat January update may not be necessary - thank goodness.
