If we talk relative risk, what's being done to our planet right now, through our current lifestyle is our main existential threat as a species. "If we want to avert climate catastrophe, renewables are the only credible path forward" as António Guterres, Secretary General of the UN, noted recently and the radiation from the sun and its amplification is the radiation we need to worry about and mitigate.
If we haven't noticed through all the floods, fires etc, taking place already, what the key threat is, and aren't ready to take action to mitigate that (which younger gens are) we deserve what we get if we jump at shadows at relatively, much more minor risks.
We have to use science, not avoid it, in our policy making.
Ie: our main nuclear power source the sun (nuclear fusion).. and it is not one I'd support shutting off.
+ VHM - isn't it training the waste to SA..? Do I remember that right? Dunno - but for me, at least, Ellison having the stake he has is enough to make me have a small one. I just think he's smarter than me, way more experienced and in a really good position to know what's a good idea to be "in on" and how the whole picture will come together. Same with some of the other big holders, tbh. Also, he's done not a bad job creating wealth for his shareholders, in his own ventures, so far.
