While I don't venture to hyperbole and am a glass half empty individual on occasion, interesting by 1500 AEDT on Thursday 19 January 2023 to observe YAL up A$0.125 nto A$6.315 a few hours ahead of its update likely to be issued at around 1900 to 2000 hours (AEDT) tonight.
Does it suggest some know something...
Then again, even though it's previously issued guidance, there's always something to potentially upset the SH's applecart such as long wall issues, rain that floods open cut holding basins, ARTC rail maintenance taking longer than scheduled, a coal train derailment, rough weather at the Port of Newcastle inhibiting loading, breakdown of an aforesaid loader, difficulties in obtaining suitably qualified staff to operate mine vehicles and machinery, a quick upsurge in the A$ value meaning reduced sales compared to competitors..and 100 other possibilities.
