@ MikesLM. I walked into the Miranda NSW store today at around 2:30pm. Only one customer in the shop but Westfields foot traffic was very quiet at the time. Took the opportunity to ask the store manager on how their Xmas / New Year trading went over the last 4-5 weeks. She said that business was better than at the same time last year. So I can assume that sales volumes were up. Not sure about how the discounting will impact profit margins though. I do a walk-by every 3-4 weeks. The store always looks reasonably busy no matter what day of week.
