I know it's silly to question someone of Tony's knowledge but he would appear to be confusing the timeline of a hard-rock DMS only operation and a hard-rock flotation operation. I'd completely agree with this sentiment around a flotation based hard-rock operation like LTR are building.
I'd tend to disagree where the lithium operation is a hard-rock DMS only mine. Core's FID was at the end of Sept 2021. If they produce Spod in H1 2023 as they have stated multiple times, they will at worst be 21 months after FID. If they hit March 2023 then they will have been 18 months. This is longer than the DFS noted, but still within the timeline whereby a company having a FID decision in the near future could be in production late 2024.
A couple of other DMS only operations have construction timelines shorter than the 2 years he implies is the shortest possible. Just because LTR has gone down the Flotation route, doesn't mean everyone else is.
