I'm hoping that the recent trouble in Peru over a copper mine isn't going to have a flow on effect on Chile. The Chilean government has historically supported lithium mining in the country, as Chile has some of the largest lithium reserves in the world with lithium being an important source of income for the country and seen as a strategic resource for the future. This leads me to think that rather than shutting it down, they merely want a larger piece of the pie, which is fine.
