I’m not sure if the market is trying to work out the Dec Q2 report or it’s the fact that NEWC spot coal price was off 3.5% on Fri night. TER is currently off 3.8% so believe it’s more aligned to the coal price coming off as TER generally tracks it closely.
I predicted approx $0.12 for the March dividend, however given the Q2 report was $30 million lower than Q1 I think $0.12 is now a stretch. I’m leaning towards a $0.10 dividend to be paid in March, with questions around franking... It may be $0.075 fully franked, and $0.025 special dividend with no franking. Danny did say $0.10 quarterly dividends fit their current cash flows, so let’s hope he can deliver in March.
