In relation to the oppies what you are not factoring in is the time to maturity.

If the maturity date for the options was in a few weeks time then you would expect that the calculation of exercise price + current option value to reflect the option price.

However the maturity of these options is 30/5/2025.

So people buying at current levels are buying for better potential leverage.
If KFM smash it out of the park with their exploration, prove up a resource etc in the next few year this will be work multiple $ per share.
So an option holder can get a better ROI on their investment. Higher risk of course.

Personally I cannot believe option holders sold out just after they were released after the raise.
I guess they looked at them as 'free' money and couldn't believe their luck when they could sell at 15c, for example.

The smart investors were scooping up the oppies over the past month or so.
