But certainly metal detectors should do better with a higher gold price. It is shocking that their HY segment earnings will be the lowest half since H2 2016. Gold prices have been great. Nothing like the POG from 2013 to 2019. So it seems either the market is out of whack, or saturated with (pulled forward sales of) detectors, or metal detecting hasn't paid off for the buyers, or there is a competing system out there taking market share, or something else. Any comments welcome about that. The outlook might improve with USD gold going up - but it hasn't really been hit, especially with the USD very strong. Maybe Minelab needs to reduce prices?
