as long as the stocks fundamentals dont change too much or by any material amount, a move from 21bucks to 19bucks is enough of a pullback IMO to reflect possibly slower retail sales for all retailers aussie wide. Thing is - i still reckon JBH will come with the goods come reporting time. If i want to buy a DVD or CD, i only go one place. And most young ppl only go one place. JB HiFi. No one else specialises in movies cds dvds like JBH. No one else has the range. In terms of electrical goods they have a competitor in HVN. But movies dvds CDs , theres no competition at all. They keep opening new stores and grow organically. A 10% fall is enough.
Using fundamental analysis youll be hard-pressed to find stocks that have such good fundamentals like JBH. How many out there are there??! Thus with 25% growth next year, a forward PE of circa 15 is fine given the growth , the high returns on equity and returns on capital.
Ask ANY real fundamental analyst and they run the figures in2 their financial models. Roger Montgomery 4om memory said hell buy up2 26bucks for the long term
And i can understand how: put in2 a financial model, the earnings, the equity base, the expected average return on equity, the EPS growth rate, the divvy payout, and the average PE .....and the model will tell you what the buy level is up2 the optimal level. Put simply if earnings keep growing at 20% over 5 years and return on equity is high and keeps heading higher over 5 years, the PE is higher than average....and so the valuation over the next 5 years will be MUCH HIGHER than 19bucks! Thats what guys like roger montgomery are telling you with a 3-5 year view on investing.
19bucks is CHEAP AS CHIPS for this stock
