Hi towie, it doesn't take long to train a dog.
It takes time to build a relationship and trust on both sides with man best friend.
My Rotty and I knew each other thoughts, that takes time and observation from each of us.
He was never tied up. When we went out walking he would not be on a leash unless people where about.
He and I didn't need it, but some strangers could feel scared of him because of his size, over 50 kilos.
The leash made them, I believe feel more secure.
People who buy so called "tough" dogs and make them mean , for their own image, I believe are weak themselves.
I read where,"weak people are cruel, and only stronger people can be kind"
Gets back to 25% DNA and 75% how they are trained via love or cruelty.
My Rotty would be waiting to please me out of love that we had.
A dog will obey by beatings, but one day, he won't be afraid and turn.
shoot the owner not the dog,
cheers, sypaladin
