What's going on ??

20 December - NWE Management emphatically reiterates 'TAKE NO ACTION!'
19 January - 4.32pm AEDT MIN response to NWE Target Statement ( I think in this release CE may have let the cat out of the bag in stating "The Target Statement contains no supportive information regarding the valuation NWE shares" I'm thinking CE is rubbing Norwest management nose in it there, not sure if Norwest can get prepared a valuation of significance without having risk/unproved numbers all over it and not sure if anyone would want to be put in that situation, even though we know it would be very, very likely correct.)
23 January - NWE announce Ensign Rig contracted.
Next day it all happens?
24 January - 5.40pm AEDT NWE announce Directors unanimously recommend MinRes revised offer.
24 January - 5.41pm AEDT MIN announce NWE Directors recommend MinRes revised offer.
25 January - 4.12pm AEDT MIN announce NWE TO bid notice of variation.
So why all the urgency in accepting the revised offer from MIN - it wasn't very substantial?
NWE management have appeared to accept the new offer even before MIN had released their announcement, which can happen, obviously agreement had been reached, why would NWE react so quickly, does not make sense ?
Then todays tading goes manic with super volume of 221,588,194 trades and when we could possibly expect the SP to recede it goes up nearly 3% on this massive turnover ?
As you can see lots of question marks and that is where we as shareholders are at just now, but I try and never jump the gun or get in front of myself when it comes to share trading and the circumstances don't add up at this stage, undoubtedly the full story will emerge eventually.
Not trying to create any false hope, each to their own, but the volume recently and the huge activity and volume today just can't be ignored.

All I can say is I will continue to hold the faith and the stock and observe the action to come with great interest !!!
