I don't know enough about Ergo's process to be sure. But you're right, fraccing is a very inexact science, some fracs do some extremely unintended things.
Having a good frac engineer on staff would definitely be a major advantage. Probably they have one.
When one of us does get some time with Len we'll have a gigantic list of questions for the guy! I'm hoping for a field day or something at Kingaroy, I'll absolutely grill anybody I can see wearing a Cougar logo!
