Yes the bouncer should not have continued once outside.
BUT
Based on evidence given and reports there was mouthing off and pushing and shoving on both sides once they got out side the hotel so both sides would appear to be responsible for events continuing outside. If either or both sides had shut their mouths, pulled their egos in and walked off then Hookes would probably be alive today.
