In hindsight everything is straightforward but Im sure if you were running the Company at the time you would have done the perfect deal, its amazing how clever anonymous posters on HC are in hindsight...
Management don't make make decisions based on speculating what the price might be in a particular timeframe but in securing the asset first and putting what was a very reasonable ceiling on at the time and its still a good price.
SYA will do just fine it has the largest Lithium resource which attracts larger players, PLL priority is its own shareholders so no reason to expect any particular favors and I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot we would be doing exactly the same...
