Ann: Mineralised REE Ironstones Increased by 13kms to 43kms, page-121

Referred to, in the above article, is the recent (January 2023) discovery in Sweden of Europe’s largest deposit of rare earth metals, which may "give the West hope in its quest for energy independence and containing China".

This Swedish REE deposit:

- has a grade of 0.18% TREO (no mention of NdPr that I could find)
- testwork completed produces a TREO concentrate of up to 0.85% (DRE produced 40% (with 30% of that being NdPr) from it's initial outcrop
- starts at about 500m depth (see Eiffel Tower scale per below)
- is 20 miles from the Arctic Circle (it's no Western Australia? )


LKAB CEO saying that "newly discovered raw materials may not reach the market before 10-15 years" - which is probably a bit optimistic, as not sure if those grades will ever reach the market? But who knows what will happen with RE prices in the future?

Comparing that to something next door, far away from the Arctic Circle, in Western Australia:

- HAS turning 0.57% TREO head grade into a 19.4% TREO concentrate
