As Ffforrest points out the up front payment is tiddly for control over the testing proceadure for Q-tb MkII. As for the ongoing royalty payments...not a problem, all they have to do is put the price up a smidge for MkII which they will easily be able to justify. It will still save the Japanese an squillions on healthcare in this area.
As for market release, expect it to be sold in Japan prior to FDA approval in the US where MkII is not that critical.
Perhaps you should become an optimist and re-enter the stock.
