    Hi Free will,

    Pixie_40

I would vote no to the death penalty. You might want to look at this site and the counter on the home page. 252 people exonerated by the innocence project. You can release innocent prisoners from gaol. You can't bring innocent executees back to life.
    ---------------------------------------------------

    Just for discussion,

All these people who got murdered, had no defence lawyer,no Judge and no jury to defend them.

And they were given a death sentence.

At least these people on trail had a chance to fight for their life.

Say, 100 people got murder and 100 people were found guilty and executed.

Say 5 people where innocent that got executed after appeals , then that's only 5 more than the original 100.

And how many people get out to kill again?

With a life at stake, I am sure the 12 jurors would take their job seriously and let a murderer go free rather than convict a possible innocent person if not beyound all doubt..

Hence less chance for an innocent person to rot in jail for a crime they didn't do.

Better to be judge by twelve than carried by six.

I will vote with you Pixie_40

    cheers,

    sypaladin
