I can only relate the system I operate through and apologies for any slight errors as I'm working off memory. I trade, outside of my superannuation fund, with an account set up with the bank I use (Westpac). When I initially set this up I was required to register with an organisation called "Boardroom" which is a share registry. With that, any statements or transactions are posted to my registered address but anything requiring a response is sent via e-mail (I may also receive a hard copy via snail mail but not as of yet), which I provided on registering. I assume that every time you transact (buy or sell) with your broker he (or you) will eventually receive some form of documentation confirming the transaction? How else can you prove ownership? If that is the case then either the company (IVR), a counterparty brokerage located in Australia, a share registry company or all of the above should have the means to provide you with documentation. Having said that I'm not suggesting that you, as an owner outside of Australia, are entitled to participate in the offer, only that when I opened my attachment (see screenshot) it clearly has a button to click for those not in Australia. If your broker can't provide you with more accurate information then I'm unsure what you should try next.
