The recent ann stated that
"Golden Gate Petroleum Ltd (ASX:GGP) announces today that its Share Purchase Plan (SPP) has closed with
strong demand from security holders. Applications totalling approximately $9.5 million were received from
approximately 1,286 eligible shareholders. As a result, Golden Gate will raise the maximum $6.5 million
under the SPP, and all applications will be scaled back with applicants receiving 68.5% of their application
amount."

I think you will find that's what you have received. The balance of the cash should be refunded to you.
