That's true, I forgot about the date corresponding to date of manufacture. It does buy them some extra time, but ideally there would either be a regulatory approval or extension since the product freshness begins to be impacted after awhile. The Chinese authorities seem to have a habit of making regulatory changes on the fly but ultimately seem to be pragmatic about these sort of things (especially when it is something the masses want/need). So hopefully it is just another extension across the board for the SAMR implementation.
