I recollect that often the research divisions of companies such as GS have a point of view that may be different from their trading desk and the traders often go the opposite way of their own research division.
Think from a governance point of view they should / can act separately. Researchers are not practitioners and often get it wrong, as their own traders would know.
I remain bullish on a2.
