I remember copping grief over a video of the GM online of him carrying on. I was highlighting it 'wasn't a good look' if he was ok with videos like that getting out in the public realm when they were trying to attract investment and have people take them seriously.

A new leader should be first priority. Then thrown in the mix campaign mining/milling. They could easy cut half the workforce and switch to an 8/6, 12/9, 2/1 model which only requires 2 crews instead of 4 and they'd be making as much product as they have been up until now. It also allows for variation in rainfall (that old chestnut) so they could haul/process faster on days where there is no rain and still build stockpiles/plan for weather slipups.

I don't think the circuit had a thickener on the tails line which would have seriously cut the cyanide useage, but it was never looked at (recycle the free cyanide solution back to the start of the circuit, thereby cutting overall use). Instead they had to dump serious amounts of detox chemicals in the tails line... I remember BOK had issues with the main plant tripping out in summer due to high ampage demand. No idea if MKR ever fixed that before startup.
