I wont go in to it, but Powell's comments last night and the reaction from the 3 main US indexes marked a clear change to me. The three rallies we had last year were all too soon in my opinion and there was too much concern and unknowns in regards to inflation and what the Fed were doing.
The market is forward looking, 6 to 9 months. Money is flowing in to the more aggressive sectors right now vs the SP when you look at the spread charts. Chuck in a very low VIX and the 10 yr yield still falling too.

This is my plan only and certainly not any kind of recommendation, but I plan on being more aggressive with taking profits this year. I think we will see rallies and quick falls across a lot of sectors.

interesting times ahead for sure. Agree on the above bit BTW. I still see lots of unknowns, perhaps more so than last year.

Aus has a lot of fixed rate mortgages scheduled to lapse this year that I think will also play as will geopolitical issues facing the world and the impact of current rate increases is yet to unfold IMO. I am not mortgaged nor plan selling my house so that is a non-issue to me personally, but I see how price increases have affected my budget at the servo, supermarket, services etc. A mortgage would really change situations for me.

Maybe I'm being a bit too contrarian but as a well respected investor said, be fearful when ... you know how it goes.

Anyway, probably a boring conversation for most now, moving on. Unless you folks want to discuss it
