What is hard to work out is buying gas and coal is just a short term solution - the future is more solar, wind turbines, hydro and batteries - so when it snows and covers the solar panels, the wind doesn’t blow and your in a drought like last year and Russia has stopped your lifeline of gas, coal and diesel - what does the future look like. ???
Australia is in a similar situation - Bass Straight is by far the East Coasts biggest suppler of natural gas - it is rapidly drying up and no new fields are starting up
In 10 years we will have no coal powered electricity and minimal gas - no fall back just like Europe
