I hope folks here don't get too carried away with broker ratings. In the case of WBC, one wonders whether the biggest factor in rating, as you put it, " in terms of current value", is the simple fact that it has gone down so much.
These simple 5 year graphs of the two most comparable members of the 'big four' (below) speak for themselves. NAB is clearly the better performed, and WBC's share price performance for the last two years has been awful ... they've been left behind.
When you're at the bottom of a big hole, you can try to climb out, or you can keep digging.
