That doesn't discount the content.
I have seen the short and distort brigade first hand and it was generally known which institutions supported them by loaning shares.

One of the key facts of the essay is that the US Govt and US Stock Exchanges do not allow the kind of shorting that is going on in Australia. I can agree it will take years for Australia to do something meaningful about it. Hence, my message to punters is to acknowledge that it goes on in Australia. Therefore, when researching a company the make up of shareholders is important to know. i.e. if they are largely retail there is a risk to being targeted by shorters especially if the SP climbs rapidly and the company enters ASX500 or ASX300.
