Shows how smart Gallop & the rest of the NRL head honchos including auditor Schubert are, took 5 years for them to find / prove what ANY player or supporter from another club already knew,you just cannot have, retain and recruit players of the quality and depth the Storm had with out breaching the cap. Right or wrong the cap is the cap. And they only got the goods on them it appears after a tip off from someone dirty over a personal relationship gone wrong.
For years the NRL has thrown huge support and resources at the Storm including Test and Origin matches that have been attended mainly by Kiwi's and or Pom's and fanatical Qld. supporters as Melb. people in general could not give a big rats about League.
I suspect the NRL / Gallop will continue to support the Storm to justify the past but hey , let it go David and bring the boys home to their respective States that enjoy the Greatest Game leaving Melb. to suffer AFL and other lesser codes.
