Agree madamswer re consumer demand. Any consumer related stocks with elevated PE and/or gearing should be avoided. I am looking at stocks like ORI that does have the ability to pass through costs AND is not really affected by consumer demand at all. The stock traditionally lags the mining cycle so reckon it looks reasonable.
