Why would he? He can just keep charging these most egregious fees into perpetuity, while gradually buying stock at a discount. Then if Shareholders ever storm the fort and convince them to wind up the fund or he ends up buying most of it, he gets out of his massive stake at NTA and captures this huge discount.
He can't lose.
