Recharging an electric car could cost more from this week, with both Evie and Ampol announcing price increases. Ampol's AmpCharge network will now cost drivers 69 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) at its 150kW chargers – up from 60 cents per kWh, representing a 15 per cent increase. Evie has also announced it will begin charging 45 cents per kWh at its 50kW chargers from Monday 13 February 2023 – up from 40 cents per kWh, or a 12.5 per cent increase...
Last month, Tesla announced it was opening up a limited number of its chargers to non-Tesla vehicles, with up to 120kW available at a cost of 79 cents per kWh – or 66 cents per kWh in conjunction with a $9.99/month subscription.
